Making a Huge Difference, A Clean Difference
Procter & Gamble’s Bounty, together with HandsOn Network and the Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation are working together to make real difference in the learning environments across the country. They are holding hands for a program called “Make a Clean Difference.” The program is aimed at uniting more than one thousand volunteers from all over the country to turn the learning environments of 30 public schools in 10 cities in America into a better environment that will improve the young people’s learning potential.
The “Make a Clean Difference” program was announced at the reception celebrating National Volunteer Week in Washington DC by the spokesperson of Procter & Gamble, actress Gabrielle Union. In June 4, the program was held at Los Angeles’ Kingsley Elementary School involving celebrity husband and wife, the Twilight Saga’s Peter Facinelli and 90210’s Jenny Garth. The two lead dozens of other local volunteers in transforming the school starting from planting flowers on the school garden to painting murals that was dedicated by the Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation. A clean learning environment is a huge part of improving the children’s learning potentials and this program is expected to inspire other communities and organizations to make the same impact on the learning environment in within their neighborhood.
