Apart from spending time together as a family, camping trips have so many benefits such as experiencing the great outdoor and wildlife, enjoying campfires and stories and most of all, the greatest joy for kids, eating S’mores!

For some parents, preparing for your family camping trip can be a daunting task. Thus, I have prepared here a quick list of tips on what you should bring for your trip:

  • Tents and spare tent stakes
  • Sleeping Bags and pads
  • Lanterns and flashlights
  • Clothesline
  • Insect repellant and bug sprays
  • First aid kit with the essential medical supplies such as adhesive tape, burnshield, safety pins, scissor, needle and cotton swabs
  • Rope
  • Spare batteries
  • Duct Tape
  • Pocket knives
  • Hammer
  • Cooking supplies like camping stove, cooking pots and pans, pot holders, cooking utensils, coffee pot, dining kit (preferably disposables), dish detergent, dish towel, paper towel and trash bags
  • Food and drinks
  • Toiletries like tissues, toothbrushes, toothpaste, combs and razors
  • Clothing like shirts, T-shirts, shorts, jackets, socks, rain gears, towels, swimsuits, sweaters, sandals and not forgetting your underwear
